Prior to the first opening, a fully working mock shop was created at Railston’s prototype facility in Royal Wootton Bassett so all aspects of the store could be tested and evaluated, this included a full height wall and staircase.

The number of stores has increased rapidly since then and Railston has worked on every one of them! Today Railston continues to provide design, prototyping, supply and installation to HomeSense sites across the UK and Europe.

The product range at HomeSense is unique and unpredictable so the equipment is designed to offer flexibility with bespoke parts manufactured for any particularly tricky items. The Gloucester store was a finalist in the Retail Interior Awards ‘Best Out of Town Store’ category.
