Railston worked with a design agency and H&R Johnson directly on an ambitious design to create a surfacing materials showroom for ‘specifiers who hate showrooms’
Railston worked closely with the designers to ensure the finished result was true to the concept. The ‘Lab’ is divided into a dry zone at the front and at the back an atrium featuring the wet zone with a sauna and Jacuzzi. A 4m high waterfall runs over a backdrop of tiles which continue into a section of clear glass and then into a stainless steel bath containing a gas fire!
The lower floor is divided into storage, meeting room, kitchen, office and hospitality. There is also an unexpected treat with the back area fitted out as Great Titchfield Tube station.
Railston won the prestigious Shopfitting Excellence award for this project at the Retail Interior awards.
