See you in Sydney – Railston Walks
Railston are taking part in a Big Team Challenge to collectively walk to Sydney over the next 12 weeks.
All staff will participate, recording their own steps, these are added together and plotted on the virtual route to Sydney. Will we make it in 12 weeks? There’s only one way to find out. There are 30 milestones along the way which have been chosen due to their significance in Railston’s 35 year history.
We have supplied equipment to 6 continents and over 50 countries so there were plenty of destinations to choose from. The first milestone is Kirkcaldy, where we will collect our Scottish contingent, and there is an important stop at Bucovice in Czech Republic to pick up our Czech Team. From there we will cross southern Europe, the Middle East and on to China to visit our factories. From China we will head south to Australia and finish at TK Maxx’s Australian head quarters in Sydney.
Due to the pandemic, most staff are working from home, and those who are going into the warehouse and office are doing so in small bubbles. Its over a year since staff have seen each other face to face, other than on Teams and Zoom calls. This challenge will give us something to work on together, with some healthy competition, prizes and a lot of banter. We certainly need everyone’s steps to make it all the way to Sydney!
