Railston were delighted with the opportunity to help Sainsbury's develop their brand new TU clothing display fixtures
Railston took the concept drawings and created working prototypes for Sainsbury's to experiment with. The new clothing area was to be a destination within the store and there was also a focus on environmentally sustainable materials. The prototypes were tweaked and improved within Railston's mock shop facility over several weeks. The final fixtures were signed off and then manufactured in bulk for the store. Railston installed the equipment within the dedicated area. The new clothing section now has it's own identity within the store and offers a fabulous experience for shoppers.
The whole store was refurbished over an 8 month period. The modernised supermarket features the first Sainsbury's Fresh Food Market, an Argos concession, a new café, self-service patisserie, takeaway hot food counter and sushi bar as well as remodelled home and beauty departments. The fuel station also got a refit with more on-the-go items and home essentials. The upgrades have improved the store's environmental credentials, helping Sainsbury's with it's net-zero target across all of it's operations
